The symbol of the crossed-out dustbin

The crossed-out waste bin means that you are legally obliged to dispose of these devices separately from unsorted urban waste.
Disposal via the residual waste bin or the yellow bin is prohibited.
If the products contain batteries or rechargeable batteries that are not permanently installed, these must be removed before disposal and disposed of separately as batteries.
Defective appliances can be handed in at the collection points of the public waste management authorities or at the take-back points set up by manufacturers and distributors in accordance with the ElektroG.

We would like to point out to all end-users of waste electrical and electronic devices that you are responsible for deleting personal data from the waste equipment to be disposed of.

All electrical and electronic devices placed on the European market must be marked with this symbol.
This symbol indicates that the respective device must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste at the end of its life.
